The Art of Air Travelling

Are you familiar with, “The Art of Air Travelling”?

Have you ever seen the movie “ Up in the Air ” starring George Clooney ? George Clooney plays Ryan Bingham, a frequent flier who appears to have mastered the art of air traveling (he amassed 10 million miles of air travel). Ryan Bingham character can be explained in the following distasteful scene.

With all of that said, you do not need to be Ryan Bingham to navigate an airport efficiently. Traveling has become more prevalent and more affordable. With discount airlines becoming more and more prevalent, everyday American families have the opportunity to travel more frequently. With that said, the team at ATP Alarms did some brainstorming and research on the most efficient way to navigate an airport and security .

1. Your time at the airport begins at the check in counter (of course, you must find parking first!). To save time, check in online and load your boarding pass to your smartphone . This will allow you to bypass one set of lines. If you are not checking bags, this is a no brainer.
2. Have your boarding pass and ID in your front pocket , making it readily available for TSA agents.
3. Wear slip on shoes

4. If wearing a jacket, choose one with multiple pockets . This allows you to put anything in your pockets in your jacket. Place the jacket through the X-Ray machine, put the jacket it on, and be on your way. If you do not have a jacket, load everything into your carryon bag.
5. Try to avoid security lines with children as they often struggle to follow direction. On the contrary, look for business travelers—they do this stuff for a living and will act and move quickly.
6. Listen to the TSA agents —they can make the security process go as quickly or as slowly as possible.
7. Check your flight status immediately after getting through security. Gates are constantly changing and sometimes even terminals. The sooner you discover a change in your flight, the quicker you can adjust.
8. Be prepared to board the airplane on time . If you have a carry on, you want to ensure that there will be room to place it in an overhead compartment.

Traveling from point A to point B can often be a drag. However, by following the above tips, you will be able to move from the check in counter to your gate more efficiently.

Often security alarms have two communication paths—one that is primary and one that is backup. ATP Alarms encourages all customers to have a back up form of communication in the event the primary fails. We believe that the best is setup for fast and reliable communication is internet/WiFi primary with cellular backup. We feel that the internet communication is the fastest while the cellular is most reliable. Traditional alarms relied on phone lines to communicate.
