Home Security Evaluations

Telemarketing Home Security Evaluations by Who?

How many times have you seen a commercial on the television about a product that can make you lose forty pounds and thought to yourself “wow that seems ridiculous”. I would probably say at least once a day. The reason why you think it is crazy is because you’re thinking how can this yellow belt around my waist make me lose all this weight when the seller doesn’t even know my exercise regimen or diet. Well this is how you should feel when security companies bellow promises in your ear over the phone about products and pricing without even coming out to your residence. To design your home security , someone needs to see your home I think. Home security evaluations are a better way.

If the safety of your family, home, and possessions is so important why are you just going to buy something over the phone like that? This is your lively hood we are taking about, not some piece of plastic to make you sweat out the Big Mac and shake you had the night before. Sadly though, this is becoming a trend in the industry, and it is certainly one that I do not agree with. How would someone be able to construct a security system personalized for your house or give you security tips when they don’t even know the layout of the land? That is why here at American Total Protection , we feel it is invaluable to set up an appointment because it does not just start and finish with a security system.

When an ATP consultant comes to your residence he or she will not only talk to you about the products we have to offer, but also other tips to make sure your premises protection is perfect. Has anyone ever asked you over the phone if you have flood lights in your back yard or if you have considered trimming bushes that obstruct a certain window? If you said yes, you are probably a fibber. Although telemarketers are annoying, they are not creepy, and realize if a random stranger said that over the phone the cops would be called within 2 seconds of the conversation ending. All kidding aside, these are just a few tips that can help improve your home safety and they are things we are constantly examining when meeting with a potential client. Seeing as how American Total Protection is a family owned, Honeywell authorized security dealer and Fasa / Basa trained company, we take pride in doing things the right way. We have collectively been in the life safety industry for over one hundred years, and there is a reason why our customers are so loyal. To end this blog I would just like to mention although I may give you an opinion to trim a bush I would suggest you hire someone else to do that job, as I do not have the sturdiest of hands.

Security alarms can communicate via internet (hardwired or WiFi depending on the system), phone line, or cellular. Often security alarms have two communication paths—one that is primary and one that is backup. ATP Alarms encourages all customers to have a back up form of communication in the event the primary fails. We believe that the best is setup for fast and reliable communication is internet/WiFi primary with cellular backup. We feel that the internet communication is the fastest while the cellular is most reliable. Traditional alarms relied on phone lines to communicate.
