Today my friend came to visit my injured daughter and I. Her first words were I need an security system. She said her friend across the street is saving $800 a year on insurance . We began to talk about the benefits of a home alarm because she knows we have one at our house, and its a security system that pays for itself.

As we talked, I remembered her kids had all moved out and she was home alone. My friend said she would come home and make noise to scare anyone off and sometimes she would hear something at night and now she sleeps on the couch. What a way to live, no peace of mind! I’m about to change that for her as I knew of a security system that pays for itself.

ATP Alarms has smartphone capability; the app is called Total Connect. My friend does not have a home phone, just her cellphone and with this app it will let her know if her security system is on or off, and the icons are very user friendly. It would also let her know if there is a break in, and where the alert was by telling her which window or door, via event text. Should the smoke sensor get an alert, it will call the fire dept right away but she will get an event text & email before she gets a phone call from the monitoring station. This is about life safety, home and memories. This simple app by Honeywell and Total Connect by design is managed by the clients, so it can be easy or more in depth of information, your choice. We went more into Home Automation thru Total Connect. This will help her turn her lights on, turn down her AC and unlock the door for quick entry, when she comes home via smartphone.

She now feeling the benefits of her fully secured home. Her children and friends are so happy to hear she is safe and now she has moved back into her bedroom and sleeping thru the night. They called and thanked me for helping her to save money, be secured and to have a peace of mind. Now, she has planned a trip to Hawaii and feels so much better leaving her home for weeks at a time.

Let us now talk about how this alarm system has saved her money, it’s icing on the cake. She now has a monitored security system that pays for itself because her home owners insurance offers a discount. We can’t forget the monies saved on  cellular communication either allowing not having a home phone bill because the alarm communicates to the central station without a home phone. Now because of the home automation package, her electric bill has went down too. She is happy to save more money a month than it takes to even have the security system that pays for itself.
